Express yourself through baking!
Ask people to bring their own home baking to complement your Arnott's Dunk Kit. You'll see their personalities reflected in every ginger slice, lolly cake or 5-tiered confection shaped like a Plunket butterfly (you never know...). Check out some recipe inspo on the Arnott's website!
Make it a high tea!
You can get everyone dressing up, maybe even in Arnott's red or Plunket purple, and bring in some fancy cups and saucers for the occasion!
Swap your fave Plunket stories!
A Dunk it for Plunket morning tea is the perfect time to reminisce. Share how Plunket helped you in those early days with your pēpi, or when you were a baby yourself.
Dunk yourself!
If hosting isn't your cup of tea, why not Dunk it for Plunket by dunking yourself? You can ask friends & whānau to sponsor you taking a cool plunge, like our Chief Executive, Fiona Kingsford above! It's a great way to get donations coming through all month in the lead-up to your plunge.
Have a Tim Tam slam competition!
The quintessential Arnott's Tim Tam slam goes like this: bite off two opposing corners, then use the Tim Tam like a straw to suck some of your tea or coffee up, melting the middle. Throw it back and enjoy. Who can do it the fastest?
Make it a bake sale or competition!
Get your workmates to bake up a storm for even more treats to share, and to up the stakes on your fundraising, just like NDY did in 2023, above.
Who will win? And who gets to judge...? Lucky!
Pick a theme!
A morning tea is lovely, but an excuse to decorate and dress up is even better! Pick a theme and have fun with it. Methven Pharmacy, pictured above, hosted a Mad Hatter's High Tea, and also encouraged shoppers to donate at till.
Play 'Guess the Baby'!
You don't really know your colleagues until you've seen their little baby faces...ask everyone to send in a pic from their early years, pop a PowerPoint together, and get guessing!
Dunk basketballs or netballs!
Organise a lunchtime game between Students and Staff. The audience donates to Plunket to attend and watch the (friendly) competition unfold!
Dress like your Childhood Dream Job
A perfect twist on the typical mufti day for secondary school students. Dress up like the job you dreamed of having when you were five! Did you tell your Plunket nurse that you'd be Superman when you grew up...? Don that cape!
Dunk your fave teacher in slime!
Good-natured teachers everywhere - we apologise for this idea. But it's for charity! And won't it make for some fabulous pictures on the day...?
Decorate some bickies!
Your Dunk Kit will come with some yummy plain Arnott's options, like a packets of Scotch Finger or Marie biscuits, perfect for icing and getting creative with your group.
Make it a raffle or auction!
Ask people to bring in some fun prizes and products to either raffle off or to hold a silent auction. It's a great way to add an exciting activity and to raise even more funds for Plunket!
Make it all about your four-legged friends!
Who says it needs to be all about humans and bickies?! This group of 'crazy horse ladies' (their own name!) made Dunk it for Plunket an equine event, with carrots for the steeds and Arnott's treats for themselves.
